Daily Devotional for January 29, 2021

“Out of my distress I called upon Jehovah: Jehovah answered me and set me in a large place.” Psalms‬ ‭118:5‬ ‭ASV‬‬

Yesterday was a full day of work and eventful happenings. Many opportunities unfolded as a REsult of my hard work, dedication and persistence as I work and walk in my passion and purpose. As I talked last night with my friend, she told me how proud she was of me, and how I have kept an attitude of gratitude even in the disappointing times during these past few years, and that meant more than she will ever know. As we continued our conversation, and as usual, I stated that I could not wait to see how God would speak to me through the devotional this morning, and then she said, “Well, what about tonight’s?”

And just like that, God spoke to me. Last night’s devotional, “Breaking Busy: How to Find Peace & Purpose in a World of Crazy”, by Alli Worthington said, “God plants gifts in us and provides opportunities throughout our lives to fulfill our life’s purpose. As we start breaking busy in our lives, our purpose begins to shine brightly and clearly...He’s waiting for you to stop striving and set everything aside that keeps you busy and distracted, then turn your attention to Him. In a living, daily relationship, He can then show you places you should go, people to whom you should listen, talents you should nourish, opportunities you should pursue, and passions and gifts he wants you to develop.”

Then this morning I am REminded through Osteen’s message, that like King David, my dark years helped prepare me to become a champion. At the right time God brought me out of that dark place and is increasing and promoting me, and making me better off than before. The former me would have never spoken about myself in this manner, but my GODfidence keeps me grounded and I know it’s truly the God in me. I am excited about where God is directing me along life’s JOurneY, and I love to see each day how the prayers I once prayed I am living out and watching others manifest.🙏🏽

Habakkuk 1

Today we BEgin the book of Habakkuk, so I had to do a little REsearch. Chuck Swindoll wrote, “The book of Habakkuk offers us a picture of a prideful people being humbled, while the righteous live by faith in God (2:4). It reminds us that while God may seem silent and uninvolved in our world, He always has a plan to deal with evil and always works out justice . . . eventually. The example of the prophet Habakkuk encourages believers to wait on the Lord, expecting that He will indeed work out all things for our good (Romans 8:28).” What alignment to follow along as we are engaging in Joel Osteen’s Daily Readings from All Things Are Working for Your Good”?!

Habakkuk 1:5 stands out this morning and reads, “Behold ye among the nations, and look, and wonder marvellously; for I am working a work in your days, which ye will not believe though it be told you” (Habakkuk‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭ASV‬‬). May we continue to REmain forward, focused, and following in faith (and not fear) and favor, pressing ahead as God takes us to and through. Let us REmember that our latter will BE greater and our BEst is yet to come. Koryn Hawthorne says in her lyrics, one day we’re gonna look back and be so amazed! Keep the faith. 🙏🏽

REflection from 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting: The Sauce

I am REading and experiencing more and more each day REstoration over my life. I have learned that Christ sacrificed His life for me. I have also come to REalize that I have been built to be broken for Him to put me back together again. Life is a JOurneY but it is also a process. I continue to seek (as this devotional speaks of) wholeness. The message prayer in the devotional said, “Father, your desire is that I would progress in all areas. I ask that you would teach me how to be whole and complete in all areas. Thank you for spiritual, emotional, physical, financial, and relational wholeness.”

I have and am experiencing the transformation. God BEgan with my spiritual wholeness, drawing me closer to Him in my darkest and lowest moments, teaching me to solely REly on Him. He taught me the difference BEtween meek and weak as He helped me emotionally, teaching me to REspond and not REact, and helping me see that all things work for my good. Then physically, along this JOurneY I have seen and experienced the importance of fasting for healing of the body and confirmation of the mind.

I now see Him working on my financial wholeness. As I BEgan my new season, He showed me when I put Him first, He will supply all my needs. I am continuing to walk into the BEst days of my life. In just this first month of 2021 He has shown me financial blessings I could not have even imagined. May I focus on wholeness during this financial season as I have experienced with the other areas, and I anticipate wholeness of my heart, for I know my BEst is yet to come.

Psalms 139:14

He is the Great I Am, and we are His children. He is feared and He is wonderful, therefore we are fearfully and wonderfully made—period.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

REmember you are fierce and fabulous this Friday, my friend.
