Daily Devotional for August 6, 2020

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭

Our Father continues to show and prove to me each day that there is nobody or nothing greater than He is, for He is the Great I Am! As I look back over my life and my EGOcentric canvas, I see all that He has done and all that has manifested in my life in just a few months, and I owe it all to Him. Glenn Burleigh has a song that says, “You must be faithful over a few things to be ruler over many things...Be ye steadfast, immovable, always abounding, in the work of God. Know that your labor is not in vain, you shall receive a just reward.” We must REmain faithful when things go our way, and even more when we may come up against the enemy. For as Osteen REminds us, “Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.” There is nothing too hard for God, and with Him I can (and you can) do, conquer, and accomplish anything.

Job 16

Let us REmember that no one else is on the same path we are on along our JOurneY of glorious adventure, and sometimes, even those who seem to BE for us may intentionally or unintentionally hurt us. But as Job, may we BE encouragers to others, but just as important, to ourselves.

‭‭(Job‬ ‭16:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Today’s devotional by Ben Kilgore strategically aligns with how our Father is working in my life today. “His grace is enough, and His power is made perfect in our weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9). When speaking about weakness, Kilgore says, “God chooses to use me not in spite of them, but precisely because of and through them.” He goes further saying, There is something of God’s power in the confession of our struggles. Vulnerability breeds honest community, and it is in that safe space that healing is dispensed.“ I am so grateful that God is using me as a vessel and has provided me with a venue, both virtually here and through my ministry, My Big E.G.O. Life, to BE vulnerable about my life’s JOurneY for my own healing and to help those who might BE going through as well.

Luke 6:27-28

May we strive to extend an olive branch to even those who come against us, working to love them as those dearest to us, and may we strive to live and give, for if we give it shall BE given unto us. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Take time to tell your TESTimony this Thursday, my friend.
