Daily Devotional for August 5, 2020

For we live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭

May we take captive every thought, especially those they hinder us from walking in faith. May we stand firm with what we feel in our hearts and not grow weary, tired, or frustrated by what we see, for faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Eyes have not seen nor ears heard the things He has prepared for our lives. Look down on the enemy as David did, and look up to the hills from where our help comes from as we walk into our season of grace and favor.

Job 15

As posed in Job 15:11, “Are God’s consolations not enough for you, words spoken gently to you?” If God said it, we must BElieve it, for He will do just what He said, for God is not a man, that He should lie. Again, let us keep the faith and comfort in knowing He can do all things but fail.

As today’s title and devotional by Ben and Noel Kilgore REminds us, may we give ourselves grace, may we love hard, and may we REst assured that God has BEen, is, and will BE with us and knows the plans for our lives; plans to prosper and not harm us.

James 1:13

We are REsponsible for our own actions, but whether right or wrong, bad or good, He will work all things for our good through blessings or lessons.

Worry-free and want for nothing this Wednesday, my friend.
