Daily Devotional for December 28, 2020

“Then God remembered Rachel; he listened to her and enabled her to conceive.” Genesis‬ ‭30:22‬ ‭NIV‬‬

What is your lot in life? What is that thing that you desire, prayed about, and have BEcome frustrated with, or just given up on BEcause it seems like it’s never going to happen? Well, know that as with Rachel and many others, God has not forgotten. As Osteen says, “Even when we become too discouraged to believe, God does not forget what He promised you.” Let us change perspectives in this moment. God has a plan for our lives; a plan to prosper and not to harm us, as written in Jeremiah 29:11. However, have we taken action to prepare ourselves to REceive it? Faith without works is dead. What do you need to work on to BE REady so you don’t have to get REady? Is it your thoughts? Are they pessimistic? Do you feel you will never BE able to find a job or BE promoted? Is it your weight? Are you not happy with yourself? Are you holding on to anger or REsentment? Is that preventing you from BEing able to love or BE loved? Or, could it BE the Father has you (and me) in a holding pattern because He has to work on and through others for His will to BE done in our lives? Keep patiently waiting and invest in yourself and God will ensure an abundant REturn on your life. Trust the process.

Jeremiah 22

For all He’s done, is doing, and will do in our lives, the Lord says: “Do what is just and right. ...Do no wrong or violence ...and do not shed innocent blood....” (Jeremiah‬ ‭22:3‬ ‭NIV‬‬). Let us strive each day to do His will. Keeping things in perspective, this is so little to ask in REturn for all He does for us.

REflection from Waiting on God

I’m so grateful for the word from Dr. Charles Stanley this morning. He has giving me additional ammunition to consider and fight with while waiting on the Lord along life’s JOurneY. Stanley REminds me that not only must I BE faithful, but I must BE of good courage. He writes, “Courage is the quality that enables us to endure suffering, opposition, and the challenges of life with a steadfast and fearless confidence in God’s provision and protection”, and he backs it up with scripture saying, “Take courage—there’s a limit to the delays and sufferings in your life. They will only continue as long as is necessary for God to accomplish His purposes in you”. (Psalms 138:8). Today is the day to capture every thought and REasses, REgroup, and REset as we wait to REceive God’s promises for our lives.

Psalms 34:4

God hears all your thoughts whether verbalized or not, and if you’ll just wait on Him, trust and BElieve, He will show up and carry you through your fear with favor. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Make moves or momentum towards the Master’s plan for your life this Monday, my friend.
