Daily Devotional for February 23, 2021
“The Lord forbid that I should raise my hand against the Lord 's anointed; but now take the spear that is at his head, and the water jar, and let us go.” 1 Samuel 26:11 NRSV
Through today’s devotional by Joel Osteen, I feel that my night season is coming to an end. God has allowed me to go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak), as Osteen put it, to prove to God that I’ll do the right thing when it’s hard, and that I’ll forgive others even though they hurt me. In Osteen’s words, “Without the night season, we wouldn’t become all God created us to be. I’m so grateful to BE a new creature: old things have passed away.
Nehemiah 1
As in Nehemiah 1, May the awesome God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments; let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer of your servants...(Nehemiah 1:5-6 NRSV). Know that Our Father sees all and hears all and will BE there for you and not let you fall.
REflection from Winning the War in Your Mind
I love hearing about the story of Paul this morning through “Winning the War in Your Mind”. My life seems to parallel it, and I’m glad to BE in alignment with the principle spoken of today through the message: REframe. Pastor Groeschel says, “You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control how you frame it. Reframe your mind, restore your perspective.”. We are seeing each day through the devotionals that God truly works everything for our good. As I encourage friends and clients, we must work to find the positive perspective in all situations. When we do, that allows us to live out God’s purpose and plan for our lives.
Proverbs 21:3
May we work to do what is right and just than to sometimes suffer through the pain that comes with sacrifice. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Trust that Thee is tried and true and there for you this Tuesday, my friend.
