Daily Devotional for October 10, 2020

“And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them. But I will gain glory for myself through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.” So the Israelites did this.” ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭14:4‬ ‭

REmember, whatever God takes us to, He will take us through. He will NEVER leave us nor forsake us. Similar to the devotionals over the past weeks, storms in life can linger for days, but we must REmain strong and know there are blessings in the storms. Trials come to strengthen us. As Osteen states this morning, “Sometimes God will not remove obstacles...to show His favor in your life in a greater way.” Watch Him work in wondrous ways.

Deuteronomy 27

We have accepted Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. We shall put all of our trust in Him. We have now become the people of the Lord our God. We shall obey the Lord our God and follow his commands and decrees. (Deuteronomy‬ ‭27:9-10‬)

I now love REflecting on how God kept me and brought me T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) to my breakthrough. As a matter of fact, I thought I would BE ashamed to tell of my story, but my life is not my own; to Him I BElong. Today’s devotional by Tony Evans says, God will bring us to a place in which our self-sufficiency is broken so that we have to trust in Him and not ourselves. However, we must remember that God is the one who “raises the dead” and is thus a God who can transform all of our afflictions into places of blessing and comfort for others.” I REflect now how God had to make me uncomfortable with what I had BEcome comfortable with in life, in order for me to let go and depend and trust in Him. BEcause of my faith walk and my JOurneY, He is allowing me to use my TESTimony to comfort others who are going T.H.R.O.U.G.H.. As with Paul in the scripture, let us REmember, “If we are afflicted, it is for our comfort and salvation; or if we are comforted, it is for our comfort….” (2 Corinthians 1:6). May we allow the Lord to use us and minister His goodness, grace, mercy, strength, and everlasting love through us.

Micah 6:8

God is love, and we are His children. Let us share with others all the goodness, mercy, and kindness, but most importantly, love that we were created in by our Father. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Stay strong this Saturday, my friend.
