Daily Devotional for October 9, 2020

They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them. ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭3:27‬ ‭

In life we will be put to the test; our feet will BE put to the fire. But the God we serve—the same God who kept Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, has a hedge of protection around us. A few friends are dealing with directions in life. One is trying to decide which way to turn at this point in her life, and another is trying to understand his purpose and where to start. I have encouraged both of them to REalize that we can work to strategize and develop a plan, but until we truly let go and truly let God—meaning leaning on Him and doing not necessarily what feels comfortable, but what we know is right for us as individuals, we will BE at a crossroad. Faith without works is dead. God never said the JOurneY would BE easy, but He promises to work everything for our good.

As Joel Osteen highlights in today’s devotional, if you let God, He will protect whatever is supposed to be kept together in your life and rid you of the limitations that are holding you back. What’s truly meant to BE will BE a part of God’s master plan for our lives. Do you truly trust Him with your life?

Deuteronomy 26

Even during our difficult seasons, may we stay committed to giving of our first fruits to the Father. As He continues to bless us in unexpected ways, a special possession...offer a special tithe to support others. (Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:1-2 and 12). ‭‭

It’s so wonderful to know that troubles won’t last always. Yet even during the times of struggle, Tony Evans REminds us that “God graciously provides comfort in the midst of our afflictions. Like Paul’s, our own sufferings and afflictions will be used for redemptive good (Romans 8:28).” We have to go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) to get to our BREAKthrough to help others get T.H.R.O.U.G.H..

Isaiah 26:4

We can always trust and BElieve in the Lord, for He is the foundation of faith that will never falter nor fade in our lives. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Fight with faith and fortitude for your future this Friday, my friend.
