Daily Devotional for September 9, 2020
“You armed me with strength for battle…” 2 Samuel 22:40
As I REad Osteen’s devotional this morning, Whitney Houston’s song, “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength “ came to mind. We don’t truly REalize what we are capable of, full of, and equipped with, until we go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak). Yet we must REcall whose we are and REmain convinced that He will not put more on us than we can bear. As the scripture associated with the devotional affirms, “You armed me with strength for battle...” (2 Samuel 22:40). We are His children and He is our superhero. Because we are His heirs, we have the “juice” now so activate your faith, for it is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Victory is just ahead; just hold on.
Ecclesiastes 8
REgardless of what we may go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak), Ecclesiastes 8:15 REminds us, “Enjoyment of life is commended, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to...be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun.”
Even with our debt, may we REalize, as the devotional from Faithspring introduces today, God wants us living in JOY and free, even from debt. We must set our minds and BE willing to walk in faith and BElieve. For the Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on our land in season and to bless all the work of our hands. We will (that’s speaking into existence) lend to many nations but will (and again speaking life) borrow from none. (Deuteronomy 28:12)
Psalm 139:23
May we each allow ourselves to BE a willing vessel, vulnerable and authentic, allowing the Father to use us and our lives as an example of how tests BEcome testimonies, trials transform to triumphs, and victims BEcome victorious. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Witness with your work (Colossians 3:23) this Wednesday, my friend.
