Daily Devotional for February 14, 2021

“There was once a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job. That man was blameless and upright, one who feared God and turned away from evil.” (Job‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭NRSV‬‬)

As I REad this morning’s message from Osteen, the lyrics from Kelly Price’s song “It’s Gonna Rain” came to mind. Job is the example to us that some things in this life are inevitable; we will all experience night seasons, but we must keep the positive perspective that Osteen provides saying, “Just because you’re a good person doesn’t mean you’re not going to have some night seasons. It means that you’re getting some rain. Without the rain you couldn’t grow.” REmember we are seeds planted. Let’s welcome the rain, for the sun will shine again and we will grow into what God has in store.

Ruth 3

Let us BE mindful that everything happens in God’s timing. As spoken to Ruth, “He said, “May you be blessed by the Lord...; this last instance of your loyalty is better than the first; do not be afraid, I will do for you all that you ask, for all the assembly of my people know that you are a worthy woman”(Ruth 2:10-11). Then she is told, “Wait, my daughter, until you learn how the matter turns out...”(Ruth‬ ‭3:18‬). God sees and God knows. He knows your heart and desires. Let us patiently wait for the BEst that He has in store specifically for us as individuals, not prematurely settling.

REflection from Living Changed: Spiritual Warfare

Today we BEgin the series “Living Changed: Spiritual Warfare”. In the message, Changed Women’s Ministries provides the following text: “There is a spiritual battle raging around us, every day of our lives...But we are not helpless or hopeless. God has given us the authority to say we won’t take it.” Everyday we are in battle and we must REmain equipped for battle. Let us REmain in the Word and surrounded with other warriors in a united front. For as the message continues, “Stand confident on God’s promise that He’s already won the war, and ask Him to show you how to fight.”

Romans 12:9

If love is not selfless like our Father loves, it’s not sincere. Give freely of your heart and God will ensure good comes to you. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Serve sincerely this Sunday, my friend.
