Daily Devotional for September 26, 2021
“The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:” Isaiah 14:24 KJV
Osteen says this morning, “None of the difficulties you’ve been through or bad breaks you’ve experienced were meant to stop you.” Pain is part of our preparation to gain perspective and BE pushed into our purpose. As I mentioned in a previous message if certain things in life were easy, everyone would BE doing them. God has to get even us, His children who BElieve, to BEcome uncomfortable with who we are and where we are, BEcause He has greater prepared for our lives. As with a car, we have to shift gears to gain momentum to continue along the glorious adventure He has prepared for our lives. There’s no time to sit idle.
Numbers 9
God welcomes us all to worship and celebrate in truth, REgardless of our walks of life, but as in Numbers 9, “But a man who is ritually clean and is not off on a trip and still fails to celebrate the Passover must be cut off from his people because he did not present God’s offering at the set time. That man will pay for his sin” (Numbers 9:13 MSG). Let us never knowingly not give Him all of the glory, honor, and praise.
REflection from I Am: 7 Keys to Unlock Your Future
Today’s message from “I Am: 7 Keys to Unlock Your Future” speaks about confidence. Yesterday I had to REspond to Board of Trustee members multiple times in REference to questions about Academic Affairs during our autumn meeting. At one point, one of my direct reports texted me and said, “How do you do it effortlessly?” I informed this individual I, too, used to be the same way, nervous and hesitant. However, I had to learn to give myself credit, realizing I am the expert. That didn’t just happen though, but my faith and trust in God developed me. As today’s message states, “But if our confidence is the authentic outward expression of an unshakable inner security in Christ, we will stand.” God will never leave us nor forsake with anything we must accomplish in this life, and that includes whether we are at work or play.
