Daily Devotional for May 23, 2021

My troubles turned out all for the best—they forced me to learn from your textbook. Psalm 119:71 MSG

Osteen talks about BEing under pressure this morning, and that’s exactly how I feel in my life right now. At a time where I should BE full of excitement and enJOYing the thought of moving onward and upward, I feel pressure. Some of the pressure comes from myself as I think of the things I want to do personally and in preparation for my new experience, but most of it comes from my current position, where I am attempting to transition in integrity. Osteen said, “Maybe you feel restricted today, pressured, as though you’re being squeezed.... He wouldn’t allow the pressure if it weren’t going to work for your good. You’re about to shoot out, stronger, healthier, promoted, vindicated, and better off than you were before.”

I claim that in this moment.

I know He has and will continue to work things in my favor, for this time is just another test of my faith. Even in this time I must trust in the Father with how He is leading me and REmember that my plan (or anyone else’s) is not always His plan, and my ways (or anyone else’s) are not His ways. I look forward to looking back at this moment and BEing amazed yet again as to how He worked it for my good.

Acts 17

Let us always REmember that we are His and not (wo)man’s. As written in Acts 17:28, “For in him we live, and move, and have our being...”

REflection from Starting Your Day Right Devotional

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a stickler for time. I have BEen extremely mindful of it since the spring of 1997, and quite honestly, even before that. This morning’s message by Joyce Meyer speaks to “Don’t Waste Time”. She notes, “We need to be so self-controlled that we don't waste time.... We don't need to be rigid, stiff, or boring. But we do need to use our time wisely, choosing to give the best part of our day to spend time with God.” Staying focused on Thee keeps us forward and focused on where He desires to lead. We must BE REady for shifts and unexpected opportunities. If we stay REady, we don’t have to get REady. Let us REmain forward, focused, and following in faith (and not fear) and favor with the Father today and each day.

Acts 2:38

The gifts of the Holy Ghost are always available to us. We must BE willing to BElieve and REceive, yet when we fall short, know REpentance not REprimanding is available in Him. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Sit with the Savior some this Sunday, my friend.
