Daily Devotional for July 17, 2021

“Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you…” Psalm‬ ‭31:19‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Today’s message by Joel Osteen is titled “Overwhelmed with His Goodness”. The scripture highlighted Psalm 31:19 says, Oh, how abundant is your goodness which you have stored up for those who fear you…”. On this day, my birthday, all I can say is YES and AMEN to what Osteen has penned. I cannot say it any better; it describes perfectly and almost exactly what God has done for me and will do for you. One thing I will highlight that Osteen shared is this: “When God overwhelms you with His goodness, when He brings you out with double, you won’t think about what you’ve lost, who hurt you, or what didn’t work out…all you can do is thank Him for what He’s done.” I’m so very thankful for 44 years, but I’m truly grateful for the past few years where He kept me and brought me T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak)for my breakthrough. I am grateful to BE in this place, overwhelmed in my overflow of blessings from above.🙏🏽

Genesis 44

As in Genesis 44 with Judah, in this life, whatever we do, let us stand firmly BEhind our “why” when intentions aren’t to harm but to show our love for others and to BE an example for Him.

REflection from The Cost of Following: Self or Christ?

Today, the devotional “The Cost of Following: Self or Christ”, it says, “Following Jesus does cost us everything. We must be willing to lay aside anything and everything that keeps us from being all His.” When one REads that, the thought might initially BE, that’s asking a lot, but let us BE REminded that Jesus sacrificed it all—even life—for you and me. We have to lose to win. What or who do you need to give up to truly LIVE with Christ and with the fruit of the Spirit in joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control?

Proverbs 12:25
