Daily Devotional for December 14, 2020
“Go back to Hezekiah and tell him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will add fifteen years to your life.’” Isaiah 38:5 NLT
Osteen speaks about his sister this morning and her childlike faith and determination. When we were children, we had a mindset that we could BEcome anything, and just as important, we felt we could do anything. REmember, we are still children—children of the Most High God, and through Him all things are possible. May we allow our thoughts to BEcome our actions, and claim and walk even now in what God will do in our lives. See yourself where you want to BE, for seeing is BElieving, and that’s faith activated.
Jeremiah 8
Let us not BE like the people of Judah and REalize we do not have to continue down a path of destruction; we can BEgin again in Christ. Jeremiah 8:4 “This is what the Lord says: ‘When people fall down, don’t they get up again? When they discover they’re on the wrong road, don’t they turn back?’”God is the god of a second chance. Today, in this moment and each moment, we have an opportunity to BEgin again.
REflection from Elisha: a Tale of Ridiculous Faith
There is a theme and REminder of second chances for us today. In Groeschel’s devotional, he speaks about Elisha working to REsurrect a woman’s son, but he was unsuccessful the first time around. Many of us have BEen in unsuccessful situations or unsuccessful attempts at something we desired most. These are the times where we have to truly trust His process and leave matters in His hands. The devotional speaks to us saying, “You are asking God to do something and know He can do it, but it doesn’t happen the first time you ask. It may take days, months, or even years. Don’t give up when you aren’t successful the first time. Keep praying. Keep seeking God. He will answer your prayer in the way and time that is best for you.” May we take courage that there are blueprints BEfore masterpieces. We may create in our minds what we want or need, but God wants to bless us exceedingly abundantly more than we can ever ask or think. REmember, your latter will BE greater, and your BEst is yet to come.
Psalms 8:3-4
Even with the marvelous wonders He has performed, He cares even for little ol’ me and you. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Meditate on the moments and the message to BE mindful of your mindset this Monday, my friend.
