Daily Devotional for August 30, 2020

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭

From man’s perspective, we are in a precarious time, but from the Omniscient One, it is known that trouble won’t last always. Some of us have or are growing weary during the current state, but let us not grow weary in His promises to me and you. REst for REstoration. REst for REjuvenation. REst to REfocus, but do not grow weary in what is wise and good. God has, is, and will take care of us. He’s bringing us out.

Job 40

There is none like Him; there’s no contender, and there is none greater than our Father.

In Tony Evans’s Personal Development devotional, he says, “Arriving at your destiny requires patience in the process.“ We live in a time where inventions have allowed us to have materialistic things and some of our wants in record time, without having to wait. Yet our Father has His perfect plan for our lives that REquires no workaround but only to patiently wait for His timing. Evans goes further to say, “God is not going to bring you to the fruition of your destiny until He knows you are able to handle it spiritually, emotionally, physically and the like. If you cannot handle it, you will lose it rather than use it for His glory. That is why He focuses so intently on our development as He takes us to our destiny.” May we not stunt our growth RElying on what we think we know as a REsult of our physical growth and experience, but may we do the work to grow spiritually which in turns strengthens us to grow into who He has planned.

1 Corinthians 12:25-27

In the same manner that all things work together for good, we must REmember that we must work together as one to do good as His children. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Stand in solitude for self and in solidarity for your siblings in Christ this Sunday, my friend.
