Daily Devotional for June 8, 2021

“Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?” 1 Samuel 17:26

It is so good to know that God is our vindicator. In this life there have BEen and will continue to BE battles, but we don’t have to fight. We only have to stay strong and give them to Him. Not only will He fight for us, as Osteen shares this morning with David, swords meant for our defeat will BE available for future battles and victory in our lives. “It was meant to stop you, but God knows how to not only turn it around, not only give you the victory, but put that sword in your future.” May we REmain forward, focused, and following in faith (and not fear) and favor. Look back over your life from where He has brought you, but don’t turn back. Greater is coming.

Genesis 5

When we hit low points in life and get weary, may we REmember as paraphrased from Genesis 5:1-2, When God created us, He made us in the likeness of Himself. He created us male and female and blessed us. We have BEen blessed since inception and REmain blessed. The enemy doesn’t come after things that are of no value. Know your worth and stay strong.

REflection from Battlefield of the Mind

Joyce Meyer’s devotional for today is just what I needed. She said in her prayer, “You are the God of the impossible, and I ask You to help me wait on You and never give up.” We all want what we want when we want it. Waiting can BE difficult. I can honestly say that I have BEcome extremely patient in my waiting over the past few years, but sometimes I do wonder (like yesterday) when will He fulfill a desire of my heart. As Meyer said, “Sometimes waiting is the best thing because it helps develop the character of God in us…. The Lord chooses to do good to us and to make us happy; the devil chooses to do wrong and to make us miserable. We can remain patient and keep believing God's promises, or we can allow the evil one's whisper to fill our ears and lead us astray.“ Let us choose to wait well, for His promises I know He will fulfill. Trust the process.

Psalm 126:5

With growth in Christ comes some pain, but with tears shed comes gain. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

The trials that threaten your thoughts will turn to triumphs this Tuesday, my friend.
