Daily Devotional for May 15, 2021
Jesus knew immediately what they were thinking, so he asked them, “Why do you question this in your hearts?” Mark 2:8 NLT
As I REad Osteen’s message this morning, I could hear my father saying, “They talked about Jesus, and look how mighty He is.” There were times in my life when I couldn’t understand why people would say and do hurtful things. Some do it out of jealousy and others sometimes for no reason. No matter the REason, we should allow God to BE our vindicator. He’s all seeing and all knowing, and as Osteen’s message emphasizes, “They’re putting you in a position to be blessed in a greater way.... God will use your enemies to bless you. Some of the favor you’ve seen, some of the good breaks, happened because of the people who tried to stop you. They put you in position for promotion.”
Acts 9
Acts 9 shows us examples of our Father’s supernatural powers. God can do the unimaginable to man. He can transform the non-BEliever and REstore the dead. Our Father is the Great I Am.
REflection from The Confident Woman Devotional
When you have a strong conviction, there is nothing no one can do about it. This morning’s message from Joyce Meyer takes me back to when I finally took a bold step in faith to BEgin again with Christ. As she said, “Being frustrated and unfulfilled due to being out of the will of God is more difficult than pressing through all the opposition.” That’s exactly how I was living. I knew He had something better for me, and had to move with that conviction. As she goes on she says, “It is knowing inside that despite what is happening on the outside, everything is going to be all right because God is on the scene, and when He is present, nothing is impossible.” When we walk by faith and not by sight, trusting in His will, He will make the way, even out of no way.
Matthew 5:3
Know that when we are at the point of no REturn and REady to give up—knowing there is nothing else we can do, that is when power is truly shown that it BElongs to God; He will keep us and bless us too. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Seek saving grace in the Savior this Saturday, my friend.
