Daily Devotional for February 5, 2020
“Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.” (Matthew 14:19 NRSV)
Perspective is key when you are a follower of Christ. (Wo)man sees deficit when going T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak), but our Father doesn’t divide, subtract, or even just add. He multiplies and provides increase in our live as written in Ephesians 3:20. Osteen gives another account as He speaks about Jesus preparing to feed the multitude. “He broke the loaves,” and the bread was multiplied. Osteen goes further to REmind us, “Notice the blessing was in the breaking. The more He broke it, the more it multiplied.” Have you BEen broken? Are you broken now? Well those pieces of your life that may look and feel destroyed are the new BEginnings God is providing for your JOurneY ahead. Increase is coming for your latter will BE greater. Your mess today will one day BE the MESSage that someone else will need to keep pushing on.
Galatians 5
Even during our valleys low, let us live by the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness. For if we live by the Spirit let us be guided by the Spirit (Galatians 5:22 and 25 NRSV).
REflection from 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting: The Sauce
What stood out to me in today’s message from 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting: The Sauce was, “We submit ourselves to you and thank you Lord for using us to be a part of someone else’s transformation process!” This is just the message I needed. I grew weary in the flesh and mind yesterday from work, but God kept me to BE able to pour into my siSTAR as she took part in a one-on-one session with me. I pray each day that God uses me as a willing vessel to help someone along the way. Each time I work to use my life’s story to help them see what He’s done for me, He can and will do for them in a unique way. Before I even REad this devotional I awoke and prayed for some individuals that I don’t normally consider. So grateful for the confirmation and BEing led by the Spirit (as was spoken about in Galatians 5 this morning).
Deuteronomy 6:5
When you cannot do anything else, Love the Lord and He will continuously bless, keep, and see you T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak). 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Focus on the favor over your fight in this life this Friday, my friend.
