Daily Devotional for December 30, 2020
“To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—” Jude 1:24 NIV
My friend, the year 2020 is coming to an end, but that is where a new season BEginnings. This past year was full of the unknown that the enemy thought would take us out, but as today’s scripture says, Our Father was there to keep us from falling. Everything God Ordains, and I know this year was a wake up call for us to have to BE still and know that He is God. When we look back, He actually gave us what we asked for. How many times have we said I’m tired or I need a break? How many times have we thought I just need to get away? How many times have we said I need some time to myself? Well, He answered our prayers; not necessarily in the way we expected, but how He planned it.
Now REalizing that we have most likely experienced one of the most challenging seasons of our lives, let us look towards 2021 with hope and courage, and REceive the great JOY He has in store for our lives. Our BEst is yet to come in 2021. Let’s REset and walk into the year forward, focused, and following in faith (and not fear) and favor to finish the goals we started and bring into fruition the dreams we deferred.
Jeremiah 24
As with the example of the figs in Jeremiah 24:6-7, we have choices in this life. Let us choose to walk in a way that our Father will watch over us for our good...build us up and not tear us down; plant us and not uproot us. Give us a heart to know Him, and that He is the Lord.
REflection from Winning Attitudes
Today we BEgin an 8-day Bible plan, Winning Attitudes. I thought the title was appropriate as we focus on entering into 2021 with a positive mindset. Today’s message BEgins with a clear explanation of “poor” as the first attitude was discussed. Bella Pillai states that, “This word is one of the most misinterpreted terms in the Bible...This implies ‘the destitute’, ‘like beggar’, ‘dependent on a provider’. It does not imply material poverty or a poor-spirited attitude being willing to acknowledge needs and receive help.” Let us BE poor in spirit, BEgging for the richness and fullness of JOY our Father can provide along our glorious adventure along life’s JOurneY. Less of us and the materialistic things of this world and more of Him and His riches in glory.
Matthew 5:44
Let us kill with kindness and not with the ways of verbal or physical harm to those who come against us, for our Father is our vindicator. Let us not fall victim but REmain victorious. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Walk with the Father this Wednesday as we wait on His will for our lives, my friend.
