Daily Devotional for March 15, 2021

If you keep yourself pure, you will be… ready for the Master to use you for every good work. 2 Timothy 2:21 NLT

There are times in our lives that we feel in our minds that we are REady for a change, but God knows in our souls there are things that He must set in order—He must prepare us for the promotion. Osteen’s message this morning shows how we are strengthened with the wait. The perspective he gives is, “If you’ll keep doing the right thing, not letting it sour you, then here’s the beauty of it: even if the situation never changes, you will change. You’re getting stronger, you’re coming up higher, you’re being prepared for the fullness of your destiny.“ There’s a saying, new level, same devil. No matter how far or how high we go personally and/or professionally, we will encounter some of the same types of people and situations. So our Father works to ensure that we are prepared for our promotion. In Osteen’s phraseology, He wants to ensure we’re REady, and what God has for us is not a burden but a blessing. Hang on in there, and know He’s an on time God.

Let us never BE ashamed of the Lord, but cry out as in Hosea 8:2,“My God, we know you!”

REflection from Restoration: Deluxe Bible Plan

So this morning we go from hearing about preparation to the importance of endurance. Lecrae speaks this morning of once being told the kingdom of God is like a pack of dogs running. He says, “If watched long enough an observer would see the pack first running at full steam and in unison until then, after a while, one by one their numbers decrease... In the final estimate the one dog who kept running had just one thing separating him from the other dogs: he actually saw what he was chasing. No amount of difficulty could deter him because he’d seen with his own eyes what he was chasing.” May we each REmain encouraged and focused on Thee, pressed toward the mark for the prize of the high calling in Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:14).
