Daily Devotional for June 10, 2021

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 1 Peter 5:6

The scripture highlighted with today’s devotional says, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time” (1 Peter 5:6). Osteen encourages us this morning saying, “He can take the same thing that should have destroyed you and use it to propel you.” I am a witness and can testify to this, for what was meant for my harm has worked for my good. From bad credit and overwhelmed with debt, separation and divorce, death of my father, and a medical diagnosis—what should have taken me out has strengthened me and lifted me to a new level. Focused on my faith, I’m stronger, wiser, and have used those tests and translated them to a testimony in hopes that I may help someone else. Yet, I didn’t get here overnight. I’ve experienced the most humbling time over the past few years, but God has worked it all for my good. If He did it for me, He will do it for you. As Osteen REminds us today, “The forces that are for you are greater than the forces that are against you.”

Genesis 7

When we live for Christ, like Noah and his family, the Lord will place a hedge of protection around us, because He finds us righteous in this generation, as paraphrased from Genesis‬ ‭7:1‬.

REflection from Battlefield of the Mind

Joyce Meyer emphasizes this morning, “The Christian life is one of joy and peace.” Yes, it is full of battles too, but as the scripture encourages in 1 Peter 5:7, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” Even in adversity we can find joy and peace in the Father for we know trouble won’t last always, there’s a lesson or blessing to come, and all things work together for our good.

Jeremiah 31:25

REst and REstoration are REnewed and REfreshed as we walk with Christ. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Test and taste all that is there through Thee this Thursday, my friend.
