Daily Devotional for October 4, 2020

“The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭103:19‬

This morning, Joel Osteen speaks about the major storm Lakewood Church experienced when his father who was his best friend passed. He said it was a storm they could not see the end of. That storm blew him from behind the scenes to the forefront as the leader. As described in the past few days, storms can blow us as vessels in unexpected directions. Like Osteen had to REmind himself, “The storms are never a surprise to God...” and like him, we have no other choice but to let Him steer us where He chooses. Let us REmember that the most beautiful outcome forms only after certain circumstances of a storm—a rainbow. Anticipate the beauty and the treasure, not what you may have to go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) for your breakthrough.

Deuteronomy 21

“The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and we that dwell therein” (Psalms 24:1). Everything BElongs to our Father and we shall not take the least of things nor the greatest of things He provides in our lives for granted. We must not desecrate what the Lord our God gives us as an inheritance. (Deuteronomy‬ ‭21:23‬)

There have been continuous themes of storms and losing in order to win in our devotionals. This morning in Jehovah Jireh, by Tony Evans, he encourages us to learn to BE as Abraham with our own Isaacs, “We must learn to relinquish our Isaacs through an obedience rooted in faith...so we will come to know that His name is Jehovah-Jireh, Our provider.” What God takes away will only BE REplaced with better and more than we can ask or think.

Ephesians 6:12

Whether friend or foe, we are all of flesh, and brothers and sisters in Christ created by God. When we are not on one accord with one another, it is not of Him but of an evil unseen spirit. May we all work to know that our Father is the Most High and Omnipresent; the One true Spirit that we all can experience and win life’s battles with, not against. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

I pray our souls shall seek the Savior this Sunday and each day, my friend.
