Daily Devotional for January 18, 2020
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”
Genesis 50:20 NIV
Let us not dwell on the past but dwell on the Lord. Osteen highlights Genesis 50:20 in today’s devotional which says, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good...the saving of many lives.” What is done is done, and it cannot BE changed, but our Father holds the future and what is in store for our lives. Let us look at situations that come to kill, steal, and destroy us (divorce, illness, job loss, etc.) as opportunities for Christ to use us as willing vessels of how He can save and change lives. Let us show others BEtter than we can tell them how He works everything for our good and how all situations, those we want to fight and get upset about, are all good.
Jeremiah 43
As in Jeremiah 43, let us not let the arrogance of others and their lack of faith or disbelief sway us from following God’s will for our lives, for what God intends for each of us shall come to pass.
REflection from 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting: The Sauce
Transformation Church encourages us today saying, “Rid your mind of distractions, overwhelming feelings and thoughts, and the busyness that comes with our daily lives and intentionally choose to lean into God’s presence.” Our Father gives us opportunities to REset, REnew, REcalibrate, REstore as we go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak); He can cause a REvival of whatever aspect of our lives is in need. Let us REalize it, REveal it and REceive the chance to BEgin again.
Matthew 5:9
As we JOurneY forward in this year of 2021, may we REconcile differences with those who come against us creating peace within us and between others as we grow stronger in Christ.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
