Daily Devotional for September 6, 2020
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34
As I post I continue to emphasize the word “BE” by capitalizing it. BE is an action that REminds me that sometimes momentum is more important than motion (as I hear my life coach in my head). BEing is still doing. When we allow ourselves to BE, most of the time it is us BEing still. Stillness and BEing in the moment is important in life. When we go and do too much, sometimes we BEgin to worry about the next thing, the next day, and what’s to come in our future. May we continue to allow ourselves to BE in the now, enJOYing each moment as it comes. As the saying goes, “Worry ends where faith BEgins”. Let go and let God and live in the moment with no REgrets.
Ecclesiastes 5
Let us love life, but not just love life but live and enJOY it. Ecclesiastes 5:18-19 confirms that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot. Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God. Life is a blessing and a gift from from our Father. During this harvest season, may we REap and enJOY the harvest we have sown and what God has blessed us with in our lives.
As we enJOY the fruits of our labor may we work to be lenders and not borrowers. Steve Repak’s entry this morning REminds us that if we are debt-free, that won’t mean our lives will be stress-free but if we have little or no debt, we will have the opportunity to give more, save more, and will be able to make better decisions which will result in less stress, better health, and most importantly a stronger relationship with God. Let’s focus on financial freedom on our faith walk.
Romans 8:26
If we can’t say a word, we can just wave our hands, and when we cannot wave a hand, we can BE still and He will can bless our souls without a word. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
