Daily Devotional for September 7, 2021

“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We all know the scripture that’s emphasized this morning along with today’s devotional by Joel Osteen. Hebrews 11:1, says “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Osteen helps us keep this in perspective when he REminds us that we must have hope BEfore we have faith. Hope is expectancy—anticipating that things will come to past. Let us wait with expectancy, BElieve in faith, and REmain steadfast and anchored, knowing God will provide and do just what He said.

Joshua 29

Joshua 19 REminds us that our Father is rich with land. In the same manner tribes were blessed then, He will bless us even now. Wait with expectancy and in faith for your REturn on investment in Christ.

REflection from Work and Rest

Today’s message from the series “Work and Rest” speaks about Cain and Abel saying, “Like Abel, each of us has a vocation. Like Cain, each of us is tempted to see work as a way of securing the sustenance and the significance necessary to our survival.” As we BEgin this work week after Labor Day, let us focus on how life was expected to BE. “The means of life---once abundant in paradise---now came only through painful toil. Work became a desperate competition for survival”. Let us focus on our vocation, what we are suited to do BEcause of our talents, passion and purpose, instead of focusing on competition and survival. REmember, He will supply all of our needs, we just must work unto Him and not unto (wo)man.

Galatians 5:1

We are free in Christ, therefore, let us not lose our focus on Him and self-sabotage by focusing in on ourselves. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Train your thoughts to stay on Thee today, my friend.
