Daily Devotional for January 5, 2020

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Things may not be good at the time we go through them... but one day you’ll look back and say it was all good,” Osteen says. That day is today. Take a moment and look back over your life. We get so busy doing and going that we don’t stop to REflect. You are living your latter. You are living your prayers once prayed.

Jeremiah 30

Our God us a God of REstoration. In the same way you can look back over your life to see how He has worked things for your good, you can also see the tests and trials you may have gone through (or might BE going through) and see God was and is with you. “I will discipline you but only in due measure,” say the Lord (Jeremiah‬ ‭30:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬). God’s discipline is the training we need to trust and REly on Him and know that He will never leave us nor forsake us and we will REap and BE REwarded for trusting in Him and His was for our lives.

REflection from Winning Attitudes

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God” (Matthew 5:9). Today Bella Pillai speaks about the attitude of one who is a peacemaker. She says, “Peace is NOT absence of emotional or physical turmoil. The first requisite for peace is consciousness of harmonious and loving relations between us and God.” I have BEgun to truly experience peace, and I know it is a REsult of my growth and RElationship with the Father. Chaos can BE all around, but all I do is center my mind on Thee, and He truly gives me a peace that surpasses all understanding. BEfore I would work to “fix” whatever was going on around me, whether within my control or not. Yet I know now that He is in control, not me. Pillai REminds us, however, “Peace is hard won.” Jesus Christ gave His life so that we might experience it. Let us strive not just to BE at peace, but peacemakers, striving to draw others into Him.

Matthew 6:11

We can REst assured that we are supplied with all we need each day. So let us enJOY the present, for it is truly a gift from the Father. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Take time to think on what you’ve BEen T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) and trust in Him where He will take you to this Tuesday, my friend.
