It is said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but my time with my father is the most nourishing meal that i’ll receive each day.
January 2019 my father passed. As people gathered at my parents’ home, someone noticed my journal and devotional books on the coffee table. I spoke to a few friends from various chapters of my life about how I get up each morning and spend at least the first hour of my day reading, meditating, praying, and journaling. I explained that with my journal, I reflect on what I have read and apply it to my life—discussing what I have experienced, what I’m currently going through, and lessons learned. I told them that I shared with one of my dearest friends, and they asked if I could create a group. Not understanding why they were interested in what I had to say, I was led by God to create a group on a social media platform, Friends in Faith.
For a year, I engaged with an intimate group, and now (January 2020) the Spirit has moved me to this platform in hopes of being a vessel to share with many others.
We must nourish our souls and receive our daily bread. may these daily posts feed your soul.
